About Hariyana Vidya Mandir | SALT LAKE | KOLKATA

HomeAbout Us ABOUT US Probably the only school in Kolkata that runs on a ‘no profit - no loss’ basis with the best facilities provided at a very low cost. The foundation stone of our school was laid by the Honourable ex-chief Minister of West Bengal, Shri Jyoti Basu and the school started functioning from 1992 with strength of 538 students from classes UKG to V. Gradually the school was extended upto class VIII followed by IX the next year, with a strength of 1146 students and from 1995 two independent shifts were introduced and the school became affiliated to CBSE. The first batch appeared for Class X Board Exams in 1996 and passed the AISSCE, Class XII Board Exams in 1998 with flying colours. In 2014, we welcomed the first batch of LKG students. The CCE system of education was introduced in 2009 and successfully implemented

    "Hey I studied 13 yrs at this school very long , ukg to 12th i school was very good after the previous principal retired i went down. It was fine afr COVID it went real bad especially is bunch of slacker why aren't the fired god knows. The teaching staff was very good especially the older people I didn't liked i started liking them after adulthood. Newer staff depends some are good and some Just wants the pay check in the year end. But it's fine not much salary in teaching these days 2024 it's everywhere. Sports half of the time they don't have equipment now they have it . However they never repaired the basketball court and the ground. Toilet and sanitation wasn't a good factor any time but better than KVs atleast you don't die In a toilet . There's a discrimination 2 COVID batch one got the farewell one didn't why no one knows then they asked money for farewell from juniors and refused to give farewell ohk it can be other school compensated or gave it later they forgot and refused to elaborate. Picnic before COVID 10/10 , picnic and school trips later the management is really pathetic 90% problem are pathetic management you know you have a exam in the morning. You notice super late. They want evrything in the last moment their rash last moment decision both the teaching staff and students angry we can shout not the teaching staff employment and salary let's head another topic. Well in 13 there's no teacher I ever hated or disliked some were good some were in some sports were a little crazy it was fun only one issue there was that chemistry teacher in 10th her favorite work demotivate the student and spend 5 min about her son's greatness. Verbal harrasment it happened during old people like us never gave two cents we studied we got good we proved wrong after passing I heard from 4-5 yrs juniors that she got fired or something due to demotivated speech. Truly shouldn't say it this it causes reputation problem not evryone was bad only that person was problematic. Why people gets depressed. Just study bring marks end it who say what. Anyways enjoyed though made lot of friends never saw them later in life though left single forever. Enjoyed good events movie picnic planetarium. It was a healthy experience. 11th 12th was extremely good. Computer labs were bad in starting 10 yrs ago now they are very good. Economic teacher was absolute best till now favourite she wanted me to take eco which i didn't sadly. Aniruddha sir was nice he was chilled what student wants same generation he understood us . Sukanta was super nice not the crazy PE teacher not the one who looks like he want to best you the science one. Will edit later. Overall nice management some bad experience in 10th so 3 stars for now maybe change mind 5-10 yrs later."

    "The most horrible management and the security guards think themselves to be the owner of the school. I have tried contacting the school nearly 30 times but nobody answers the call and every time I visit they just keep postponing. For payment the school will keep on pestering you but when it comes to them to pay back nobody bothers to take care. The security guards won’t allow you enter the school or speak to anyone without getting a paper from the inquiry office which is often closed. Mr. Kaushik in the accounts department has no work culture and doesn’t know how to talk to people. Just because I was moving my child to a different school so I was made to wait and every time told to come later. It has been more than a month still the issue is not resolved. Such a horrible management."
