    "It is not a school, but a business house with investment from parents. Up to UKG, it will be a cakewalk; from class 1 onwards, the ICSE syllabus will increase 10x. Every year, the syllabus becomes difficult. Each section is assumed to have 10% toppers, and the teacher will only focus on them. They are creating products to help schools get ranked in board exams, increasing the school's business. For the rest, 90% of weak or average students' teachers do not pay attention. The class teachers only aim to complete a mammoth syllabus without making students' base strong. Teachers will pass the ball to parents to get private attention or act like a salesperson to sell you an Abacus, Olympiad or Spellbee. There are no sports or fun activities for students. Only a pre-defined group of students will get a chance to participate in school events. PTM is for 5 minutes max, and most class teachers are not receptive to feedback or concern. The school principal behaves like a bureaucrat, unreachable, and will not respond to your query. The admin team and security guards are trained to misbehave with parents. There is no escalation matrix against class teachers. School during admission will make you sign an affidavit that you cannot raise your voice or be vocal against the school. Before admission, the school will not allow parents to do a school walk. So you pay heavy fees, but inside it is an unknown fortress. During online classes, the internet bandwidth of the school is pathetic. They don't care about upgrading after charging parents so much for infrastructure. If you want mental peace for your toddlers, go for the CBSE board, which follows the new education policy per international standards. Or at least select an ICSE school that prioritises children’s futures and has a robust academic base."

    "A Complete Disaster - Avoid at All Costs! I am utterly appalled by my experience at this school. For an institution that charges exorbitant fees, the quality of education and overall environment is shockingly poor. The teachers are completely dismissive of the students' needs and concerns. They do not listen and often ridicule children when they ask questions, which is not only unprofessional but also damaging to the students' self-esteem and eagerness to learn. The level of disrespect is astounding. One teacher, in particular, is a disgrace to the teaching profession. She goes out of her way to discourage science students, destroying their enthusiasm and potential. Her blatant favoritism towards students who are friends with her daughter is appalling, leading to an unfair and toxic classroom environment. Students who aren't in her inner circle are treated with disdain and neglect, which is completely unacceptable. The principal is another major issue. She is full of herself and seems more interested in ruining children's futures rather than fostering their growth. She frequently denies students their preferred subjects, making arbitrary decisions that have long-lasting negative impacts on their academic and personal development. It's as if she takes pleasure in controlling and limiting the students' potential. Furthermore, the security guards are incredibly rude, treating parents like beggars. The lack of basic respect and decency is shocking. Parents should be treated as partners in their children's education, not as nuisances to be shooed away. On top of all this, the school administration is deeply flawed. They make parents go round and round in circles for the simplest issues and fail to respond to emails or phone calls. This lack of communication and efficiency is incredibly frustrating and shows a complete disregard for the concerns of parents and students alike. To make matters even worse, the school actively suppresses any negative feedback from students. They suspend and force students to delete any negative comments they make about the school, often addressing these issues publicly during class assemblies to intimidate others into silence. This authoritarian approach to criticism is both alarming and unacceptable. I'm only able to make this comment because I've graduated from this school; otherwise, they would have done the same to me. Overall, this school is an absolute disaster. It fails its students in every conceivable way, from the attitude of the staff to the overall management. I strongly advise against enrolling your children here. Save your money and find a school that genuinely cares about its students' education and well-being."

    "It was in 2022. After paying INR 1000 through Admission Tree for my child's admission form, I waited anxiously as there was no communication from the school. None of the phone numbers provided on the school’s website were answered, and multiple emails went without response. At the time, my family had not yet relocated to Kolkata, and my wife had to travel 250 km just to inquire about how to collect the admission form. Upon reaching the school, she was met with indifference, as the management blamed us for not visiting the school in person earlier, despite no instructions being provided when the fee was paid. What was even more shocking was that the school asked us to sign a declaration along with admission form stating we would not post anything negative about the school on social media. This practice of stifling feedback is highly unprofessional and concerning. On the day of submitting the admission form, my family and I made the same 250 km journey again, only to encounter a highly disorganized and uncomfortable process. Parents were forced to stand in long queues outside the main gate in sweltering heat and humidity. Despite the school claiming to have vast infrastructure, there was no provision for parents to wait comfortably. This level of disregard for basic comfort and respect was appalling. When our turn finally came, we were directed to a room where a young lady staff member reviewed our documents. I explained how we had been harassed since paying the fee for the admission form, but instead of addressing our concerns, she became defensive. During the document check, she pointed out that we did not have a local address proof. I offered to provide my flat registration deed but explained that I would need to come back another day to submit it. Out of frustration, I mentioned that had the school's helpline been responsive, I could have cleared these doubts earlier. Her reaction was both unprofessional and shocking. She immediately refused to accept the admission form and called in the security supervisor. The supervisor, who resembled a bouncer, listened to her exaggerated version of events without allowing me the opportunity to explain. Without any discussion or understanding of the situation, he ordered me to take back the form and leave the premises. I was appalled by the level of disrespect and lack of professionalism shown by the school’s staff. I consider myself fortunate that this incident occurred before my child was admitted to the school, saving us from what would likely have been an ongoing ordeal. What is even more troubling is that after this incident, no one from the school contacted me, nor was the INR 1000 I paid refunded. In all honesty, I have never experienced such unprofessional behavior, not even from government organizations, where such inefficiency might be expected. I strongly urge the school to review its processes and the behavior of its staff to ensure no other parents have to endure the same treatment."

    "DPS Newtown is like a second home to me. From my experience, it is a very nice school, but it does have its disadvantages. The teachers are extremely biased, and some of them insult students for no reason. The school takes no action against bullying and ignores it. The PE teachers don't let the girls play football saying that it is for boys. The school also gives too many exams with very less time to prepare, and teachers don't finish the syllabus. On the other hand, some teachers are extremely nice and treat students like their friends. Most students are friendly. The management is good, and school programs are praise-worthy."
