    "It was set up in 1988 as a Montessori school by Shri Chittajit De. In 1992 , it was affiliated to the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE). Shri Nabarun De played a great role to raise or lift or move in a higher standard or level. Ishan Singh scored 98.30 % in ICSE 2024 and Arnab Sanyal achieved 94.75 % in ISC 2024. A few ex- excellent performers are Manica Das, Dhilon Sengupta, Jhinuk Basu, Suvash Gupta, Ishita Dasgupta, Avirup Saha, Jimut Bahan Paul etc etc. The basic physical and organisational structures are splendid. The practice of training students to obey rules or a code of conduct of behaviour is welcome. The faculties are experienced, qualified and have an inherent mental and physical power. It promotes various extracurricular activities like dancing, dramatics , arts craft, chess, debates. In addition to reading it emphasizes Gymnasium, Indoor sports , Martial Art, outdoor sports, yoga etc. It is one of the best school in North Kolkata"

    "Worst school ever seen. The staffs and maximum teachers of this, so called 'one of the best school in West Bengal', has no good manners, no good behaviour. The principal herself is so indisciplined that before even listening to the parent or student, she starts shouting for no reason. During very hot and humid summer days, the school takes no step to avoid Physical Education on those days and due to this many students get sick. And during break time, when the boys play football and cricket,there is no teacher or staff to tell and look after the boys to play at ground level, or else when the football goes out from the ground, it hits other students outside the ground(who are not playing)."

    "Good school from Pre-Nur to 10+2 at Baranagar. I always prefer good school but should be nearer from residency. So CMS is my 1st choice. No doubt CMS is one of the good schools at north kolkata."

    "Well, Central Modern School isn't just place to learn but also to explore many qualities in student, with strict disciplines. I have been noticing this school since last 8 years !! As my sister's are from this school & also because i live just in opposite building of campus 😂 . Starting from Academics / Co-curriculum Activities / encouraging students to participate in different competition ranging from scholastic to music competition, this institute has always proved to be best ! I'm Neither a student nor anyone has told me to write good review on this , but still after noticing for so long , i don't find much of bad review's ."
