The intention of every parent is in the best interest of their children. However, the methods that are used may be counterproductive. By being Mindful, you bring the best out of children. Parenting is one of the critical aspects of a child's development. Parents play a critical role in upbringing their children.
Mindful parenting is all about being conscious about what's happening rather than being influenced by your emotions. It's all about focusing on the present rather than the past. Mindful parenting is not a perfect parent but about a parent who lives in the present, understands the present scenarios, and responds to them. It is absolutely okay to get angry, upset as a parent is also human, and as a human, we have all the emotions to display. Still, it's all about understanding the current situation on a need basis and responding to the child need.
It's very important parents are in self-control before attending the child.
Being a mindful parent means that you pay attention to what you're feeling. However, it does not mean that you will not get angry or upset.
Four Benefits of mindful parenting
1. The parent will be aware of their feelings/emotions and thoughts.
2. Parents are more responsive to child's needs, thoughts and feelings
3. Parents will stop carrying the guilt or past
4. Parent & Child relationship will be strengthened
