The idea of storytelling is central to Kathak, one of India's most exquisite dance styles. Kathak, the sole dance from northern India among the eight Indian classical dance styles, is an art form with an enigmatic beauty, captivating footwork, and beautiful motions.

The three styles of Kathak—Classical, Contemporary, and Sufi—have developed over time. With its quick turns, exceptional rhythmic dexterity, and lyrical exploration of love and spiritual poetry, it enchants and captures listeners.

The skillful and quick rotations along with the precise yet flowing motions release a visual brilliance onstage that transports viewers on a spiritual trip.

Children will participate in an interactive zoom meeting with the Guest Speaker Ms. MAYA KULSHREASTHA and celebrity show host Mrs. NIDHI KUMAR and showcase their creative work.

About the guest speaker:   

Ms. Maya Kulshreastha has a vibrant energetic & expressive stage presence that leaves a striking impression on her audiences.

Learning at the age of 5 years she learnt from Gwalior under the guidance of Dr. Monica Srivastava, she is M.A in PsychologyM.A in Kathak from Raja man Singh university vid from Khairagarh University.

She has done theatre too she has diploma in theatre. She is learning kathak since last 25 years she is performing on stage more than 12 years.

She is still learning kathak under the guidance of Guru Smt. Geetanjali Lal from Jaipur Gharana.

Maya is a social activist & Founder of Anjana Welfare Society she works on social issues, specially gifted kids, & senior citizens as well, she composed dance on social issues like save girls, woman empowerment, importance of education etc.

About the Host: 

Mrs. Nidhi Kumar, Director Media Management, Skoolz & Celebrity show host on India’s public broadcaster DD NEWS and DD NATIONAL, Ministry of Science and Technology, Media lead and ambassador for Mitron App and Advisory board. Media Red Carpet entertainers, Trustee Netaji. She has spearheaded many environmental projects and is a motivational speaker for young Indians.
