Respect is one of the most crucial qualities a youngster can possess.

Respecting other people's values and beliefs can help them maintain good connections with their family, friends, and members of their communities for the rest of their lives.

Children can be taught the value of respecting others in a variety of methods, but it all starts with making sure that they treat others the way that they would like to be treated.

To expand upon the importance of cultivating respect in children we have our fabulous guest, Prof. Veenu Wadhwa to give you all insights during this interactive session with the children and the celebrity show host Mrs. NIDHI KUMAR.

About the Guest Speaker:

Prof. Veenu Wadhwa is a Ph.D. degree holder in the field of child development with immense knowledge and expertise.

She carries a teaching experience of over 3 decades.

She has been part of many researches and some of her research papers includes topics such as, "Forgotten Toys and Play Materials of Rajasthan: Benefits for the Preschool Child", “Forgotten Toy Manufacturers of Rajasthan: Some Stories”, "Stress among Students: An Emerging Issue", “Khel aur Paramparik Khilone: Astitvaki Khoj mein Ek Kala”.

Prof. Veenu Wadhwa also has co-authored for “Manual for Child Development” a practical manual. Gulati, R.,Gugnani, A., Chopra, G., & Wadhwa, V., Blaze Publishers. “Understanding Toys”, Book for publication by the Toy Association of India.

Some of her associations with the professional societies include:

  • Teacher-In-charge for the pre-school run by the Department of Human Development and Childhood Studies for a period of over 15 years and initiated ‘the School of Performing Arts’ for evening hobby/extracurricular activities like music, dance and drama. Also initiated the Saturday Library.
  • Linkages with various professional bodies: NCERT, NIPCCD, CECED and IGNOU
  • Taught various Courses at Vocational Teaching College for women (AWWA & VTC)
  • Have been on various College Committees including the Cultural Committee, Admission Committee and the Academic Committee, Placement Committee etc.
  • Have been Co- Student Advisor for over 5 years.
  • Have been guiding and counseling students for both academic and personal concerns for over 25 years.
  • Counselling of Delhi Police Personnel and their families (Police Family Welfare Association since 2016)
  • Have been Member of the advisory committee of CECED at the Ambedkar University.

Mrs. Nidhi Kumar, Director Media Management, Skoolz & Celebrity show host on India’s public broadcaster DD NEWS and DD NATIONAL, Ministry of Science and Technology. She has spearheaded many environmental projects and is a motivational speaker for young Indians.
