Because of this, science is revered everywhere in the world. Along with India, many other outstanding scientists from over the world have dedicated their entire lives to study.

Our Guest Speaker Dr. Pravin P. Ingole would be shedding light on the importance of science and share his immense knowledge during this interactive session and the celebrity show host Mrs. NIDHI KUMAR.

About the Guest Speaker:

Dr. Pravin P. Ingole is working as Associate Professor at Department of Chemistry at Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IITD), where he joined as Assistant Professor in 2013. Previously, he worked at Central University of Rajasthan, Ajmer as Assistant Professor (2012-2013) in School of Chemical Sciences and Pharmacy. He obtained his Ph.D. degree from University of Pune in 2010. He has been DAAD visiting fellow (2009) and postdoctoral research scientist (2010-2012) at Technical University of Dresden, Germany. His research focuses on the electrochemical investigations on advanced functional materials for renewable energy harvesting and its storage.

The main goal of the research is to design and develop the nano-electrocatalysts based on nanoparticles anchored to a suitable support. His group concentrates mainly on the following aspects, (i) fabricating nano-electrocatalysts for the electrochemical conversion of organic pollutants such as CO2 into fuels and/or useful chemical feedstock, (ii) Electrochemical and spectro-electrochemical studies on the advanced functional materials in order to characterize and tune their electronic band structure, (iii) developing photo-electrocatalysts based on semiconductor quantum dots for photovoltaic solar cell applications, and (iv) metal oxide/conducting polymer based materials for supercapacitor applications.
