My Little University offers preschool and day care programs for infants and toddlers from the age of 2 to 18 months. According to the child specialists across the world, milestones matters a lot. A child passes through many developmental stages while growing. These stages involve physical, mental, social, communication and emotional growth & development. But the time and pace for these developmental stages may vary child to child. Some babies might reach a stage earlier than expected but may not necessarily be reaching another stage at the same pace or age. Keeping all these variations in mind, My Little University have curated activities that a baby might be doing till (s)he crosses the early childhood period. With our intuitive understanding of how infants pick up language and make sense of the world, our every daily activity guides that immerse young learners in a stimulating, nurturing and age-appropriate environment under the guidance and care of our educators. Toddler care: It was revealed that the brain, especially in the formative stages, needs all aspects of the mind to be stimulated simultaneously. This is the proven theory for a child from birth to each other stages. Thus, all our activities designed for our infants and toddlers contains the potential to provide experiences that engage all the essential elements, we name it as 'Todd-SMILES.' Here we mean the SMILES as Sensory, Motor, Intellectual, Linguistic & Emotional development. Sensory & Social: Young children learn by experiencing things through their senses, as this process builds the networks which will later support cognitive development through the brain. The sensorial exercises that our infants and toddlers go through during infant care help to stimulate their senses, building a strong foundation for their growth and development during the early years. Motor: Gross motor skills involve motor development of muscles that enable babies to hold up their heads, sit and crawl, and eventually walk, run, jump and skip. Typical motor skill development follows a predictable sequence. Motor skills are developed in infancy through repetitive actions involving trial-and-error and experimentation. Through the toddler program there are opportunities for physical experimentation at all times, especially when activities they involve at our place with the proper nurture by our caregivers and mentors bring the whole particular development from a child. Intellectual: Intellectual development study in neuroscience and psychology focusing on a child's development in terms of information processing, conceptual resources, perceptual skill, language learning, and other aspects of the developed adult brain and cognitive psychology. In infants it relies on the connections that are formed in the brain and the extension of the neural networks within. Through the activities, infants and toddlers learn to make connections between actions, sensory experiences and social, emotional and linguistic interactions, which provide a strong foundation for life-long intellectual development. Linguistic: As infants' brains continue to develop, infants also develop the ability to communicate; to comprehend and produce spoken language. They use their mouths, tongues, and ears as they learn to mimic the sights and sounds of other people in order to create their own sounds and communications. Hence like everything else, our young ones learn language by experiencing it in all forms, as often as possible through the infant and toddler care. Emotional: Infants and toddlers learn to make sense of their emotions by interacting with the people around them. Apart from you and your family, our infant educarers are the ones who spend the most time with your child during the day.
