About St. Joseph's Convent School | KADUGODI | WHITEFIELD | BENGALURU

In 1933, on the 9th of January, six pioneers of the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Tarbes - Sr. Marie Martha, Sr. Marie Patrick, Sr. Marie Teresita, Sr. Maria Vincentia, Sr. Maria Joanna and Marie Prescilla - were sent to Whitefield by the parish priest of Whitefield Church, Rev. Fr. Levelle. Their mission was to open a convent school and educate children as well as care for the sick in the area. 

On the 14th of January, an English Medium Primary School was opened for 12 children, while a Kannada Primary School was opened on the 16th of January. Classes were conducted in the church premises. Seeing the sisters' enthusiasm, personal care for the students, and dedication, the locals chipped in to build a small school. In 1938, the Kannada Medium School was granted permanent recognition. It was the first school to be recognized by the government. 

Over the past 84 years, St. Joseph's Convent Schools have grown in strength and quality education. Graduates have been well-placed in government jobs, entrepreneurship, and private companies. Alumni regularly visit their alma mater to exchange views, news, and experiences. The management, principal, and staff have created a student-friendly atmosphere, fostering appreciation, gratitude, and mutual support. 

We recall, remember, cherish, and thank the foundresses of this great institution, the pioneer sisters, the teaching and support staff, and the students who have passed through the portals of St. Joseph's Schools. To all that has been, thanks.

    "I went to take form for my toddler, eligible for LKG for next academic year. I must say that everyone was friendly & respectful. There was a young boy at the office, explained me the details very well. This is not a flashy school at all. I felt good to see students from higher classes brooming the school premise and some teacher monitoring them in the morning. gave me a 'gurukul' like feeling. The kindergarten section is recently renovated. It is very spacious. The fee for the coming session including uniform & books would be around INR 3,300/-, yearly below INR 40K. The kind of infrastructure & playground n aristrocracy this school posses, fee is surely kept keeping social welfare as motto than running business.. for most of the big names, which is other way. I heared the results of the board exams from this school are also decent, may be better than many private high cost schools. They even join national level in many sports field. but formal education is given prime importance. Parents looking for emphasis on education, looking to make their child ready for the real world situation may visit here once. Cons:: Transportation facility not available."

    "Purely education oriented decent school. Affordable to everyone. Approachable teachers and staff. No fancy attractions but they do all the things that kids need. They had setup a planetarium in school campus for kids. My kid enjoyed a lot. Big shout out to Malathi Acharya Maam(kannada maam)- Lovely person, too supportive, heavily knowledgeable."

    "Hi everyone. I want to share about my experience about this school. I went there with my kids they given the entry exam ,so in that my kids written how much they know. My daughter is slow in writing so for that who was attending her that teaches hit my child and told to write fast. My child got scared and started to crying after 1 hour i went to see wts going on that time I saw my kid is crying with fear .this is not the way to attend the kid first time .so they telling she is not capable for next class so again she as to study back in same class,i ask them that because of corona kids may be lik this u push them for next class but they not ,really it is very bad experience with me .no proper guidance ,i font know about management but who attended my child that teacher is really rude ..my request is if child is not rdy for writing or something mean u can ask with parents simply don't take any action. Change ur behaviour plz."
