Sharanya Narayani International School (SNIS) is a co-educational K-12 day, weekly (5-day), and regular boarding school located in Bangalore. It is promoted and managed by a non-profit charitable Trust - Narayani Group of Educational Institutions. Both the school and the trust are named after Late Mrs. Narayani Abbaiah Reddy, the family matriarch of the Trustees.
Mrs. Narayani and her husband Mr. Abbaiah were not formally educated, but they were visionaries who understood the value and significance of education. Mrs. Narayani had succeeded in educating her children to be honest and responsible citizens, despite her background as a farmer in the 1940s. Her hard work and determination are credited by the members of the trust for their success. Mrs. Narayani believed that education can empower anyone, especially girls, which is why she ensured that her daughters received an education. The school carries the name of her granddaughter, Sharanya, as a tribute to the vision of her late grandmother.
Sharanya Narayani International School is one of India's leading International Schools located in Bengaluru. With a sprawling campus spread over 60 acres, SNIS is a K-12 day and boarding school that provides safe and secure residential facilities for its students.
SNIS offers international academic programmes that ensure students receive all-round development. Skilled teachers trained in IB PYP (International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme), IBDP (International Baccalaureate Diploma Program), and IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) teach and nurture every student's learning capability, making it a joyous journey for them.
The "Thinking School" philosophy adopted by SNIS allows students to develop their thinking skills and teaches them how to analyze. SNIS focuses on teaching students "how to think" rather than "what to think." Students from across the world come together at SNIS to exchange their views. Additionally, SNIS promises world-class facilities for both indoor and outdoor sports, professional training, and a structured curriculum.
SNIS's residential facilities provide a home away from home for its boarders. Separate blocks for boys and girls are available, and each room houses three students. Every hostel room has an en-suite bathroom. Along with a hygienic and secure residential room, SNIS has a nutritious multi-cuisine kitchen with separate veg and non-veg preparation areas. SNIS also has an infirmary with a 24/7 nurse on duty and doctors & ambulance available on-call.
