About NITTE International School | JALAHALLI | YELAHANKA | BENGALURU

Justice K S Hegde was born in a village and received his early education in Karkala and Mangalore. He then pursued his college education in Madras, where he earned a B.A (Honors) in Economics and later a Degree in Law from the Government Law College, Madras. In 1936, he began his legal practice in Karkala and later moved to Mangalore, where he became the Public Prosecutor of South Kanara district in 1948. Justice K S Hegde was elected as a Member of the First Council of States (now known as the Rajya Sabha) and also represented India at the General Assembly of the United Nations in 1954. 

He then became a Judge of the Mysore High Court. Later, in 1966, he was appointed as the first Chief Justice of the Delhi and Himachal Pradesh High Court, a position he held until he was elevated to the post of Judge of the Supreme Court of India in 1967. However, Justice K S Hegde resigned from this position in 1973 in protest against the supersession of senior judges in the appointment of the Chief Justice of India. In 1977, he was elected to the Lok Sabha and served as Speaker of the Lok Sabha until 1980. After a distinguished career, he retired from public life and settled in Nitte to work towards the upliftment and empowerment of rural people. Justice K S Hegde passed away on May 25, 1990.

    "It has been a fantastic journey and experience for at NITTE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL BANGALORE. I studied at NIS from past 10 years. The infrastructure and the green environment around the campus is astonishing and pleasant which is very conducive for learning. The teachers are very resourceful and affectionate to their students which helps the students to ask doubts without any hesitation. The best in class learning facilities and infrastructure too makes NIS one of the best CBSE schools in Bangalore. The events held at NIs are very organized and stunning! We recently had our annual day which was a memorable experience. We also had a trip off to kerala last year. Which gave us an amazing new experience and things to learn with sweet memories.
