About Jyothy Kendriya Vidyalaya | 8TH PHASE | JP NAGAR | BENGALURU

Jyothy Kendriya Vidyalaya is a co-educational, English medium school located in Yelachenahalli on Kanakapura Road in Bangalore, India. It was established in 1989 by Late Sri B.N.V Subrahmanya in memory of his daughter, Jyothy.

The school is affiliated with CBSE for 1st to 10th grade and the Karnataka PU board for 11th and 12th grade. The Jyothy Charitable Trust runs the school, and it is registered with the Commissioner of Income Tax, Karnataka-II, under Section 80-G of the IT Act of exemption.

The trust also runs a fund to provide scholarships for meritorious students, and every year deserving students receive free books, uniforms, and fee concessions.

    "There is absolutely no responsibility about the kid. The transport has been a nightmare experience for us. They leave the kid on road and go away. They dont agree to drop the kid near home. We travel 3 kms to pick the kid daily and they drop him on the road and go. There in no definite time of arrival of the vehicle. they expect us to stand there before without us knowing when they will arrive. The school is very irresponsible and doesn't care how the kid id doing."

    "I studied 3 years of high school here and it was the best years of my life! Apart from a great campus, lots of ameneties, the teachers here are the absolute best! The school also has a lot of events in the year, one of which is Hakuna Matata - alumni hosted cultural competitions, the annual day, Geeta Jayanthi and many more. I find the environment there to be very supportive, they encourage healthy competition but at the slightest sight of any bullying or even exclusion by peer groups doesn't go unnoticed and is immediately put straight. Overall, this is the school you want your kid to go to, trust me!!"
