About BANGALORE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL | GEDDALAHALLI | HENNUR | BENGALURU

During the 1960s and 1970s, many American families lived in the city, but the local schools didn't offer a North American style of education. Eloise R. Bennett and her family, who founded BIS, didn't want to send their children to a boarding school. So, they decided to open their own school in a garage on Millers Road, which was initially known as the American Community School and later became Bangalore International School.

Today, Bangalore International School provides an environment where global education is integrated with positive social values, and every student is equipped with the necessary life skills. At BIS, we strive to nurture students to become responsible citizens, and our inclusive environment ensures that every learner is given exposure that goes beyond textbooks.

    "“THIS SCHOOL DOESNT EVEN WORTH ONE STAR” This school might boast a great reputation for education, but when it comes to career growth, it’s a whole different story. One of my friend worked here and it was such a worst experience that she had as a woman. If you’re a newcomer with ambition, don’t expect progress—this place thrives on politics, mental stress, and blatant male dominance, especially in the sports department. One of the worst department to work with!!! The so-called leaders here, armed with half-baked knowledge, act like they know it all, shutting down ideas and dismissing hard work unless it suits their agenda. Favoritism runs rampant, and if you’re not part of their inner circle, forget being recognized. Female teachers are silenced with threats, often blackmailed with lines like, “If you don’t comply with our ways, we won’t recommend you anywhere and will ruin your chances of getting you placed in any schools during verification.” Meanwhile, these same people shamelessly steal ideas and take credit for work that isn’t theirs and never acknowledge in front of the principal. The principal isn’t any better—someone more concerned with pleasing a select few than actually noticing the contributions of their staff. Hard work and innovation are ignored, replaced by blind belief in whatever others whisper into their ear. Appreciation for effort? Nonexistent. If you’re a young, driven passionate and professional hoping to grow and be valued, save yourself the disappointment. This place will do nothing but drain your energy and stifle your potential. - Sincere and honest review that needs to be taken seriously!"

    "I was trying to call the school on several occasions but couldn't get through. I was visiting Bangalore for a day. Took a chance to go directly without an appointment but was totally denied by the person in charge. Just wanted a school campus tour. They could assign a person as a special case but totally rejected my request. Yes I agree the importance of appointment and their busy schedule. I was not even asking for appointment. They could have considered but they did not. Totally disappointed"

    "Spent 8 years in this school, wouldn’t recommend the experience to anyone. To say the least, the school culture is toxic, teachers (with the exception of a few) are unsupportive and inadequately trained, administration is politicised and financially motivated. For a school that is supposedly international, BIS fails to meet any criterion or expectations. If you love your child, don’t put them through the misery that is BIS."
