Samashraya is an initiative of Deepika Charitable Educational Trust, which has 24 years of experience in the education field. The purpose of Samashraya is to bridge the gap between mainstream education and home-schooling while making education more practical, meaningful and student-centric.
WHY CHOOSE SAMASHRAYA?
Samashraya aims to fill the large gap between mainstream schools and home-schooling/NIOS. Mainstream schools, which are under various state, central, and international educational boards, focus primarily on academics. On the other hand, there are special schools that cater to the needs of children with special needs. However, this leaves a huge void, causing misery for children with specific learning disabilities. These children can compete with their peers if taught differently and in the way they learn. In every classroom, there are 2 or 3 children with SLD. They can shine if they are allowed to choose the subjects they want and excel in life if vocational subjects are integrated into their curriculum. They shed their reticence and become more self-confident, and in turn, develop self-esteem when they are in a smaller group. There are children who are gifted in some sports or performing arts, and they want to chase their dreams with lesser academic stress. When these children cannot sustain in mainstream schools, they become school dropouts. To bridge this gap, we have started an alternative training center.
