Maruthi Vidyalaya (MV) is managed by qualified and experienced educationists and administrators. The school began functioning in 1978 at Subbayanapalya, Banaswadi, Bangalore-560033 as a Nursery School in a small room with just one teacher, Smt. Saroja Ganesh, who was also the Founder Secretary and Correspondent. The Government of Karnataka recognized the school in 1979. Every academic year, the school added one additional class and expanded from Nursery to Primary and then to High School.
Since its inception, Maruthi Vidyalaya has been dedicatedly working towards the cause of education and rural upliftment. The school celebrated its Silver Jubilee in 2003, marking a historic milestone in its growth and development. MV's vision is to promote values of knowledge and wisdom, national service, and excellence in all spheres of life. The school draws inspiration from the life and services of Indian Ratnas like Sir M. Vishweswaraya, Sir C.V. Raman, and His Highness Shri. Jayachamaraja Wodeyar, the former Maharaja of Mysore.
Today, MV has three campuses in Subbayanapalya, Bangalore-560033, Babusapalya, Bangalore-560043, and KadaAgrahara, Bengaluru-560077. The school imparts education as per the syllabi of the State Board, ICSE Council, and Central Board of Secondary Education, respectively. MV's philosophy promotes both independence and a strong commitment to collective responsibility. These principles lay sound foundations for each individual's growth and an awareness of the part they play in the school and the nation. MV provides a learning environment where all individuals see themselves reflected and feel a sense of belonging.
