Our well-maintained four-floor building boasts several unique features, including an A/C computer room, a conference hall, an assembly hall, a terrace garden, an auditorium, a library, and physics, chemistry, biology, and mathematics laboratories. We utilize thorough and creative planning to meet the demands of the National Curriculum, which takes full advantage of cross-curricular opportunities. Approximately 65% of teaching time is dedicated to the core subjects of English, Mathematics, Science, and ICT.
Our goal is to provide children with a stimulating and challenging skills-based program of work that values and encourages creativity and independence.
We take full advantage of the local environment and the opportunities it provides. Regular visits to West Dean College and Gardens, and the Weald and Downland Museum provide us with a wide range of expertise. We also celebrate a whole school Arts focus every June and share our work with the wider community at an Arts Evening. The children enjoy educational visits further afield as the need arises, and the older children enjoy a week-long residential visit during Year Five or Year Six.
